Leave of Absence

Hello Everyone!

Well the time has come that I leave for Basic Training, my first day is March 19th, I am saddened to leave you all behind. I will finish Basic towards the end of May, but I should be back online by Mid June, so there will be that gap of Zero updates to website/twitter.

Keep in mind, just because I am gone does not mean our translation is at a standstill, so when I come back do not be surprised if you see a spike in our amount completed.

I really wish I could leave you all with at least an arc, but patience bares the best tasting fruit…or somthing :O

Dote it up in 2013!

Hello Everyone!

Its been a while since I made an update, there really has been nothing new, but I have good news for everyone!

We are resuming translation on “Dote up a cat!”

if you read here (or on novel news) we received a C&D notice to stop work on Dote, how ever, there is really nothing they can do since its A:Not Illegal and B:Nuff said’ so after a long awaited wait, Dote will be resuming work!

Also our Current project Hinomaru is less than 1 script away from its first Arc!

It may have been a long wait for you all, but I appreciate the patience of those wanting to dig there claws in after the “teaser patch” 

On a personal level, I enlisted in the Army so once I ship off for basic there will be a period (2.5-3months) were I will not be able to update the website or twitter…or even have access to any of the files, but don’t be alarmed! I am currently working on setting up someone to temporarily take my place! so Progress will not halt (just the twitter/website may halt) 

I hope you all will support us in 2013!

Closing the Gap Pt.2

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been busy with IRL stuff (got a new job…albeit its Mon-thur sometimes I have to work over time on Fridays and I want to rest on my weekends!) but Fantastic news! since the last time I updated this page we are getting closer and closer to Hino’s arc being translated!

Our Translator has started the final Script in Hino’s arc we still have like 1.2 script worth of translation to be done (our TL’er has been busy with school) so pretty much all of Sept and Oct was basically a slow month for tengu T_T but do not fear, we are still shooting for a patch release near Christmas (if we can get those scripts done this month or in early DEC) but even after the the translation is done, we want to provide the best possible experience and spend time on our editing (we kinda rushed ‘OTR’ and ‘Dote up a cat’  but don’t worry those will get new patches soon ;P )

We have resumed work on Sin, albeit it is on a lower priority than Hino, but we will get both out come hell or high water :O

So I ask :3 please show us patience

Closing the gap!

Good news everyone!

Hino’s arc is 80% (well 78.6%) compleate! We have 1.5 script files left till we enter our missing lines check and sent it off to editing…than after the files passed a QC check we will release a patch covering that arc! So stay tuned with us :3.

Also if you know anyone willing to help translate any other arcs shoot us a commit!

Almost 20 questions….

On Twitter Aaeru posted (almost) 20 questions about visual novels…so I thought I’d take a wack…

1. Who is your favourite female visual novel character?

Natsume Rin, she is spunky yet Tsundere but has that childhood friend feel..

2. Who is your favourite male visual novel character?

The protags friend from G-string…he acts all nice to girls but is a real asshole…but his dialog makes me laugh every time
3. What is your favourite visual novel?

I’d have to say Clannad…it was an excellent read…it made me laugh…cry…and really connect to the story…

4. What is your favourite visual novel soundtrack (or song)?

Again, G-String had my favorite OST, I really enjoy classical music and I enjoyed the ‘new age’ version of my favorite songs done in this series my favorite one is the remake of Eric Satie’s Gymnopédie No.1  (Listen to it here)

5. Which is your favourite visual novel opening animation?

I’d have to say the op. of Little busters EX, I really enjoyed the music and the op. animations really let you want to experience the game  and its interesting story (watch it here) plus the Alt rock ver is just excellent.
6. What is your favourite scene in a visual novel?

The scene in Yume Miru Kusuri when the protag takes a stand and saves Aeka from getting raped on the roof of the school..I felt like I would jump into the screen and serve justice myself…
7. What qualities in a VN character do you gravitate most towards?

I honestly….do not know there is way to many….sorry for the lame answer…
8. Which character in a VN is most similar to you in terms of personality?

The protag of G-string…alot of my friends said I am rather ‘dark’ when it comes to getting shit done…
9. Who is your favourite VN Artist?

Na-Ga
10. Who is your favourite VN writer?

Jun Maeda…I mean hell, everything he has written has been gold and touched my heart in one way or another
11. What is your favourite thing about visual novel/eroge?

the ability to control the story…if I want one end I can obtain it and put the game away and be perfectly satisfied with that ending…
12. What is one thing you would eliminate from all VNs to make them more perfect?

Cheating protags……school days did that in for me….
13. Do you think you’ll ever stop playing VNs?

I doubt it, one of my editors is in his 40′s and still plays visual novels…and that gives me faith that age is no factor…so I hope I can enjoy VN’s till I am shitting my pants in a retirement home…
14. Are you open about the fact that you play VNs with people you know?

Absolutly not, In real life, you would not expect me to even be into anything japanese since I am ‘that guy into cars’….I live a double life when it comes to stuff like that…untill you walk into my room and see the Hatsune Miku posters and shit loads of anime and manga…. I share VN’s only with my closest of friends IRL
15. Which visual novel was the biggest let down for you?

School Days HQ…I graduated HS in 2008…this game was still in translation durring that time…its now 2012 and I am a college grad…I waited FOREVER for the game and it was just a let down….
16. Name one VN nobody-has-played that you would recommend for others.

Over the Rainbow…..its our first compleated work, its a really dark title but I think people will enjoy it…..maybe…

Hello everyone!

As you have saw last month we posted a patch for the common arc….

it was released with out even QA testing…and we are sorry…lets be frank…the patch was shit!

we have been busting our asses off to make up for it! right now as I type I am 5/6 scripts away from a final run on the common arc. when our editor played the game he was ‘disgusted’ on how shitty it was so he went ballistic and re-edited the living shit out of the common arc. right now I can assure you its almost completely different, there is no more broken dialog boxes, missing translation or random Japanese text in the dialog (aside from that file I cannot find that says when a part of the profile menu is unlocked) but please stand with us..I do not want to release shitty patches from this point on you have my word..

PS: We will be releasing that new version of the common arc once we are finished with QA

EDIT!:My laptop decided it wanted to no longer boot….its fixed now, but I had to reformat…so I am a day behind on debugging the common route! (as I lost a few hours of work -_-)
